The short version
No accounts. No selling your data. Your planner lives in your browser, not on a server. We use basic analytics (Google Analytics + Microsoft Clarity) to understand which leagues people look at — that's it.
What we collect
- Anonymous usage data through Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity — page views, clicks, what filters people use, what links they tap. No name, no email, no precise location.
- Anonymous performance data through Vercel Analytics — page load times and basic traffic counts.
- Nothing else. No accounts. No newsletter unless you opt in elsewhere. No advertising trackers.
Where your planner lives
When you save a league or build a season plan, that data is stored in your browser's localStorage. It never leaves your device. If you clear your browser data or use a different device, the planner won't be there.
When you copy a share link, the planner contents are encoded into the URL itself. Anyone with the link can see it. If you don't want that, don't share the link.
Third parties
- Google Analytics 4 — aggregate usage analytics.
- Microsoft Clarity — anonymous session recordings and heatmaps so we can see where the UI is confusing.
- Vercel — hosting and basic performance metrics.
- League websites— when you click a registration link, you leave our site and go to the league's site. Their privacy policy applies there.
We don't sell, rent, or share your data with anyone else.
Cookies
Google Analytics and Clarity set cookies for basic session tracking. You can opt out using your browser's settings or any standard ad/tracker blocker — the site will still work.
Children
The Sports Planner is built for parents, players, and league organizers. It's not directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect data from them. If you're a parent using the planner on behalf of your kid, you're entering their name into your own browser — it stays there.
